Moscow, 31 August 2021 – Airbus Helicopters is showcasing an ACH130 helicopter at the fifteenth edition of the Russian Business Aviation Exhibition (RUBAE), which takes place from the 8th to the 10th of September at Moscow Vnukovo.
“The ACH130 combines a unique passenger-focused design, exceptional single-engine performance, and first-class quality and comfort, making it one of the most popular rotorcraft among Russian customers. There are 28 helicopters of this type in operation in Russia, and we plan to deliver two more by the end of the year,“ said Dmitry Perepelkin, Director of Airbus Helicopters in Russia.
A shrouded Fenestron tail rotor and automatic rotor speed control make the helicopter the quietest in its class. The Safran Arriel 2D engine, equipped with a new generation of two- channel FADEC system, and a third independent backup channel, provides additional power for operations in hot weather and at high altitudes. The multifunctional display system, integrated into the control panel, reduces pilot workload
The Airbus display will also feature a twin-engine ACH160 helicopter model. This helicopter is one of the most modern in the world today with 68 patents. It is the world's first civil helicopter with a fully composite airframe, powered by a new generation of turboshaft engines, which reduce fuel consumption by 15%. Distinctive features of the model are the double-swept Blue Edge blades, and a canted Fenestron tail rotor, which make the flight quieter, more comfortable, and more efficient. The helicopter is capable of staying in the air for more than four hours without refuelling and even at a speed of 285 km / h provides a smooth flight.
